ium is a design studio founded in 2017 by Chiharu Kodama, its representative and art director, with a deep respect for observation and thought.
We approach design by breaking things down to their elemental level, always striving to face the essence of what we create.
Rather than stopping at surface-level expression, we seek to engage deeply with society and human emotion, moving between intuition and perspective to produce outputs with lasting strength.

Designer / Art Director
Our team is looking for designers who can bring creative ideas to life and enhance user experiences through innovative design. Why not join us and leverage your design sensibility and skills to create compelling products together?

- 3 years of practical experience in web and graphic design (or equivalent skills)
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
- 3+ years of freelance design experience
- Proficiency in video editing (e.g., After Effects, Premiere).
- Skills or experience in web development and implementation.
- Experience in planning or information architecture for websites.
- Illustration.
- Editing.
- Someone who can handle tasks meticulously and accurately.
- An individual who is proactive and adaptable in tackling diverse responsibilities.

- Our office (Yoyogi-Uehara)
- Primarily 5 days a week in-office, with flexibility negotiable based on skill and lifestyle.
- 11:00 AM - 8:00 PM (including a one-hour break)
- Full-time employee / Contract work / Part-time (all negotiable)
- Salary: Determined upon consultation
- Bonuses: Paid twice yearly (after 6+ months of employment)
- Probationary Period: 3 months
- Leave: Weekends and national holidays, New Year's, summer, bereavement
- Housing Allowance: Available (for those living within a 30-minute commute to the office)
- Comprehensive social insurance: Health insurance, Employees' Pension Insurance, Employment Insurance
- Equipment provided: MacBook Pro, display, mouse, and keyboard (negotiable based on preference)
- Skill development support allowance: ¥8,000 per month
